a failed rebellion at the Republican National Convention Monday afternoon.
About half of the delegation walked out of the hall after being denied a roll-call vote on the rules, according to delegate Joel Crank.
He says it was extremely chaotic before the walkout.
"There were people chanting and yelling and screaming, especially in the Colorado delegation," Crank said. "I think Wyoming, who was right in front of us, wanted to turn around and smack us all."
Crank does not support the efforts to deny Trump the nomination, saying they circumvent the will of voters.
"They had a job," Crank said. "And then they didn't do what they were elected to do."
Another delegate from Colorado, Kendal Unruh, a leader in the anti-Trump movement, told CSPAN the RNC must pay for its actions.
"They quashed the voice of the people," Unruh said. "The system is rigged to make sure Donald Trump gets the nomination."
Colorado Rep. Ken Buck, also a delegate, denied that there was a concerted effort among the state's delegates to walk off the floor.
"It was just a matter of people being there, focused on getting the roll call vote. And when we didn't get that then I think people went their own way. But I don't think anybody walked off," Buck said.
