A near-death experience on a tubing hill in Wyoming pushed Kimbal Musk to return to what he loves, providing food to the world.
Musk owns The Kitchen and Next Door restaurant concepts, which started in Boulder, where he lives. And he's on the brink of a big expansion; 50 new eateries by 2020, many outside of Colorado.
And Musk is trying something different. He's blending two concepts you don't normally think of -- restaurant chains, and locally-grown food.
Musk spoke to Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
