If you had serious carsickness, the last thing you’d probably agree to is a 8,000-mile road race that crosses some of the most remote spots in the world.
But that’s just what Dina Bennett did.
Bennett lives in Walden, in Northern Colorado and she and her husband entered the Peking to Paris -- a vintage car race that crosses China, Mongolia, Siberia, and Eastern Europe.
The car they chose to drive: a 1940 GM Lasalle they named “Roxanne.”
Bennett's new book about the experience is called “Peking to Paris: Life and Love on a Short Drive Around Half the World.”
