Images of children caught in the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria earlier this month drew international outrage. They were also a key reason President Donald Trump gave for his decision to launch a missile attack in Syria just a few days later.
Lt. Col. Vik Bebarta, who served as a military doctor in Afghanistan, Iraq and Jordan has treated troops exposed to chemical weapons. He's now at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus researching an antidote to chemical exposure.
Bebarta spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
