Denver author Peter Heller has written books about extreme kayakers, extreme environmentalists, and extreme surfers. All non-fiction. Surprisingly, the book is uplifting. It’s called “The Dog Stars” and it’s landed on a bunch of “Best of 2012” lists and has been optioned for film. Heller speaks with host Ryan Warner.
