Nura Afia, 24, has velvety skin, smokey eyes and thousands of YouTube followers who want her beauty tips. She's also the first woman to appear in a CoverGirl ad campaign wearing a hijab.
Afia is one of a diverse group of models tapped by CoverGirl to take part in its new So Lashy! BlastPro mascara ads. James Charles, another well-known beauty blogger, is also featured in the campaign and is the company's first male spokesmodel.
She spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
