A new push to try and save Colorado schools and colleges from additional budget cuts faces an uphill battle, according to several insiders at the state capitol. A coalition of education advocates are asking lawmakers to send a ballot question to voters this fall. It would give the legislature the flexibility to raise taxes to help pay for education funding.
