Recently, labor issues have been in the spotlight in Colorado. First, a union threatened to derail Denver's bid for the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Then, labor interests pushed a bill through the legislature that would have made it easier to unionize workplaces. Gov. Bill Ritter ultimately vetoed the bill.
