Economists at the University of Colorado at Boulder predict slow, steady recovery for the state's economy next year, with businesses creating more than ten thousand new jobs. CU released it's annual job forecast December 6, after surveying thousands of business owners. The optimist prediction comes after 2010 failed to live up to a similar forecast last year. CU's Richard Wobbekind says the signs are good for 2011, even if only modest growth leaves some people disappointed. The forecast sees a lot of new jobs in what are called "businesses services" -- including lawyers, accountants and marketing people. The state is expected to lose more jobs in construction, and for the first time in at least two decades, overall government employment is expected to shrink next year.
