The 12th annual Denver Post Underground Music Showcase wrapped up Sunday evening in Denver's historic Baker district. Spread across 15 venues, hundreds of local and national artists performed from Thursday, July 19th through Sunday the 22nd.
OpenAir was proud to be a part of the event, emceeing four major venues including the incredible performances on the main stage located in the south Broadway Goodwill parking lot. More than 300 bands performed over four days; everyone from Bad Weather California to Class Actress and Emily Wells to SAUNA.
We went live from the Irish Rover on Saturday and Sunday, and broadcasted the final main stage performances of Ian Cooke, Paper Bird, and Nathaniel Rateliff on both 1340 AM and CPR News at 90.1 FM. It was such a pleasure meeting listeners and supporters of OpenAir and Colorado Public Radio.
We hope to see you all at next year's Underground Music Showcase! If you missed anything this year, check out our photos to catch up! It all went off without a hitch because of you, the listeners. Thank you.
