Boulder Chamber Orchestra performs on Feb. 7. We hear them perform Mozart's Symphony No. 36.
Tuesday
Friends of Chamber Music hosts another program on Feb. 9. We'll hear Paul Lewis play Schubert's Piano Sonata in A major from last season.
Wednesday
Longmont Symphony Orchestra welcomes CPR Classical's own David Rutherford as conductor on Jan. 25. We'll hear music from a previous season: Camille Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 in C minor ("Organ Symphony") featuring Kenrick Mervine on organ.
Thursday
Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra performs Howard Hanson's Second Symphony ("Romantic").
Friday
The Antero Winds perform Sunday, Jan. 26, with Classical Music in the Valley in Westcliffe. We'll hear them perform a selection from David Maslanka's Wind Quintet No. 3.
SUNDAY
We'll hear from a variety of ensembles and performers:
- Pianist David Korevaar performs Jan. 28 at the University of Colorado-Boulder College of Music. He has recorded in our Performance Studio.
- Musica Sacra Music Director David Rutherford talks about their concerts this week with Katie Mahan. We sample her new CDs.
- Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra features soloist Hsing-ay Hsu this week. We hear her in concert and in our Performance Studio.
- And we'll hear from the Colorado Chamber Players.
