Tornado sirens sounded across the Denver area Wednesday afternoon as severe storms created reports of several tornadoes. Denver International Airport grounded several flights and diverted incoming traffic to Colorado Springs.
National Weather Service meteorologist Frank Cooper says at least six tornadoes were observed with no reports of damage. A tornado watch for areas along the Front Range and the eastern plains expires at 8 p.m. MT, according to the National Weather Service.
