Figures released Wednesday by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics show big drops in unemployment across Colorado, even in areas where economic growth has been limited.
The largest drop among metropolitan areas in the state was in Pueblo. The unemployment rate fell from 9 percent in September 2013 to 5.7 percent last month.

In the Denver area, the report says jobs grew by 3 percent in the past year.
"Professional and business services experienced the largest increase in employment, followed by education and health services and leisure and hospitality," the report states.
