Here's what's on tap for the week of Nov 17.

Monday

We'll hear music featuring Andrew Litton and Yumi Hwang-Williams of the Colorado Symphony. They play a recital Tuesday night at the Newman Center.

Tuesday

A look at Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 1, which was created as an equal partnership between pianist and violinist. Music by Brahms is on the program at Friends of Chamber Music on Wednesday. And we'll feature a performance by students of the Denver School of the Arts recorded in the Performance Studio. The ensemble performs Thursday night.

WEDNESDAY

The origins of Mozart's "The Magic Flute," which is being performed by the Metro State University Opera Theatre Ensemble at the King Center beginning this Friday.

Thursday

A look at Dvorak's Symphony No. 7.

FriDAY

An interview with bassoonist Tatia Slouka of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. Slouka is the featured soloist at the ensemble's concert this weekend.
