"From the Top," the NPR program that features host Christopher O’Riley showcasing talented young musicians, comes to Denver for a live taping on Feb. 20.
The evening will feature an appearance by film composer Danny Elfman, who scored “Batman,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and many other blockbusters.
The taping is set for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the University of Colorado's King Center Concert Hall on the Auraria Campus in Denver.
Featured musicians include the Perlman Music Program String Quartet, Denver School of the Arts String Ensemble, pianist Huan Li, clarinetist Scott Chiu and harpist Abigail Enssle.
If you can’t make it to the taping, the episode will air Sunday, April 12, on CPR Classical.
