OpenAir recently reached the milestone of 1,000 songs recorded in the CPR Performance Studio. And who better to perform that song than a standout Colorado band: Snake Rattle Rattle Snake.
The acclaimed Denver post-punk group released its second full-length, "Totem," last year. One of the album's tracks ended up in NPR's Heavy Rotation feature, and the band has been making waves in and out of Denver with its moody live show.
The band members spoke with Scott Carney about writing and recording the new album, and how they utilized studio arrangements more fully than on the previous record "Sineater."
Snake Rattle Rattle Snake headlines Denver's Hi-Dive on March 20 before heading up to Boise, Idaho, for the Treefort Music Festival.
