The Colorado Department of Transportation is planning to provide weekend service on part of its interstate highway bus system.
The Post Independent reports CDOT's route between Glenwood Springs and Denver will operate seven days a week beginning Nov. 21. Weekday buses currently leave Glenwood Springs at about 7 a.m. and return from Denver's Union Station at about 6 p.m. with stops in Eagle, Vail and Frisco.
The weekend service is expected to follow a similar schedule.
Bustang launched in July with service from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs and from Glenwood Springs to Denver. The project is funded by the 2009 FASTER bill, which raised car registration fees to pay for transportation projects.
Each coach can transport 50 passengers and is equipped with restrooms, bike racks, free Wi-Fi, power outlets and USB ports.
