Investigators have suspended a search at a Colorado ski resort but are hoping DNA evidence might help them identify human remains found there.
A foot was found inside a size 13 snow boot in a clearing at the Eldora Mountain Ski Resort on Wednesday. Teams spent two days searching the area, including a horseback search of cross-country skiing trails Thursday, but don't plan to look again for clues until more snow melts.
The Daily Camera reports DNA from the remains could be compared to a national database to see if it matches a profile on file.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office doesn't believe the remains belong to a missing 20-year-old man from Lafayette who worked at the resort.
