Bustang has one year on the job.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says the bus service has exceeded ridership and revenue projections set out one year ago.
The Bustang bus service connects Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, and Glenwood Springs.
CDOT Spokesman Bob Wilson says they expected it to take a while to build a following, but that they're happy with the turnout.
"That's going to be the continuous challenge is to maintain and continue to increase ridership," he said. "We anticipate that's going to continue to grow, and especially as the lines expand to other parts of the state."
Wilson also says CDOT has plans to expand the service over the next few years, including to Pueblo, as well as increase the frequency of trips on current routes.
