Evacuations are being lifted after a fire broke out near the Rampart Reservoir. The fire has burned about 14 acres, and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office says it's now being worked jointly with the Forest Service.

Original Post (see above for the current update; Original headline: 'Fire Near Rampart Reservoir Prompts Evacuations'): A wildfire burning near the Rampart Reservoir has prompted evacuations along several forest roads. Evacuations are issued for the areas off Shubarth Trail, Farish Area, Rampart Reservoir, and Rampart Range Road south of Loy Creek.
The fire covers approximately 14 acres and is southwest of the reservoir. A reverse 911 call has gone out to others for a voluntary evacuation.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says resources are on all sides of the fire, including a Type 3 helicopter based in Monument.
A red flag warning is in place for much of southern Colorado.
