Planning a weekend outing to the outlets or Colorado Springs? Don’t be alarmed by the sight of emergency vehicles along a stretch of I-25 in Lone Tree.
RTD will run an emergency drill Saturday morning at the light rail bridge over I-25 near the Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree. The E, F and R lines run in the area.
The exercise will simulate a passenger evacuation if a light rail train were to hit a pedestrian on the bridge. Local emergency agencies will practice their responses between 8 a.m. and noon.
While emergency equipment will be visible to passersby, RTD does not expect the drill to impact traffic in the area
