CPR Classical Presents: Mozart and Now Jan 11

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composer Ann Clyne (credit: Victoria Stevens), composer John Adams (credit: Christine Alicino).

Mozart's Violin Concerto #5 is the type of piece you can stomp your feet along to. The name "Turkish" comes from the final movement where Mozart mimics the percussive sounds of Turkish military bands that were popular in the late 18th century.

The Colorado Symphony pairs this violin concerto along works by contemporary composers Anna Clyne (a top ten female composer today according to conductor Marin Alsop) and John Adams in this year's Mozart and Now concerts on Saturday, January 11.

CPR Classical listeners get 20% off tickets to the Mozart and Now concerts January 10-11. Use code MOZART25 or simply click on this link.
