Event Description

Roundup Fellowship will screen the film BEING MICHELLE and host a panel discussion post screening, with the star of the film and the filmmaker present. Additionally, Michelle has been commissioned to paint artwork of Colorado scenes that will be auctioned off the night of the event. At its core, this event is not merely a celebration; it is an anthem for the untapped potential that resides within each of us, regardless of the challenges life may present.

Come together for a special fundraiser on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at 5:30 p.m., at the newly renovated Picture Show - Colorado Springs, for a special film screening of an award-winning feature-length documentary film as previously shown at the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival (2022).

Being Michelle is a film about a deaf woman with autism who survived incarceration and abuse and now uses her artwork to depict the trauma she endured and heal from her past.
Michelle and the filmmaker will be in attendance and will participate in a panel discussion after the film with other community partners - plus, a silent auction of Michelle’s paintings.
