When Chris Kalman first visited Cochamó in 2010, he had no idea how profoundly that experience would change his life. Today, after seven trips to Cochamó, Kalman is a respected and prolific first ascentionist in the so-called "Yosemite of South America." It's a story about climbing, conservation, and trying to figure out how to walk a fine line between loving a place, and loving it to death.
