CU Presents: CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra: Second Fall 2023 Concert

"Amy Beach’s first symphony, the 'Gaelic Symphony,' was a massive milestone in women’s music as she became the first American woman to compose and publish a symphony. Our featured soloist will be Dawna Rae Warren, winner of the graduate division of the Honors Competition, singing Richard Strauss’ beautiful Brentano Lieder, Op. 68. The program will begin with Franz Schubert’s elegant Overture in the Italian Style in C major."
