CU Presents: Faculty Tuesdays: Odysseys from Nicaragua to New Hampshire
When
Event Description
"Renowned CU Boulder College of Music faculty artists perform with students and colleagues in chamber music recitals featuring world premieres and beloved classics. Join us for Latin Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated composer Gabriela Frank’s creation of a magical odyssey inspired by “Songs of Cifar” by Nicaraguan poet Pablo Antonio Cuadra. Also, two-time Grammy Award-winning composer, librettist and producer Herschel Garfein will introduce “Mortality Mansions,” a stunning new song cycle based on poems by former U.S. poet laureate Donald Hall. This concert will be the world premiere of the baritone version of the cycle, arranged especially for Andrew Garland."
