The 7th Annual Colorado Women’s Day conference sponsored by SCL Health Lutheran Medical Center, the Bank of Colorado, and IX Power Clean Water to be held March 9 - 11, 2022 at the Marriott Denver West complex will be bigger and better than ever before! The three-day Colorado Women’s Day conference, with the theme "Women Take the Reins," is part of the global celebration of International Women’s Day held every year on March 8. This year’s event will benefit Rotary International’s WASH District 5450 which makes significant investments in water infrastructure for in-need communities around the world. Eight awards are presented at the “main event” luncheon on Friday, March 11 for the 3-day event. The deadline for nominations for the awards is January 14, 2022 and nomination applications can be found at: ColoradoWomensDay.org. Women are also encouraged to nominate themselves.

While women who have been previously recognized with other awards are encouraged to apply, Colorado Women’s Day is particularly seeking out those women who have made impactful contributions in their field or to the community and have gone unrecognized for their work in the past.

Nominations for all the awards can come from any member of the public. Any woman residing anywhere within the state of Colorado for at least the last six months can be nominated, and no membership in any club or organization is required. All finalists, along with their organization or business, will be announced a month in advance of the Colorado Women’s Day conference.

The awards categories include the:
• NREL Foundation Outstanding Woman in STEM Award
• Outstanding Young Woman in STEM Award (Ages 18 and under)
• Outstanding Young Woman in STEM Award (Ages 19 – 25)
• Women’s Caucus for Art Wonderful Woman in the Arts Award
• Shattered Glass Award
• Unsung Heroine Award
• Women in Sustainability’s Woman Who C.A.R.E.s Award
• Good Business Colorado's Outstanding Woman in Business Award
