When
Event Description
"Enjoy a family-friendly concert that celebrates music’s power to connect our diverse community! This event is free to the public, with Spanish translation provided. Composed of violinists Reuben Kebede and Tiani Butts, violist Aimée McAnulty and cellist Pedro Sánchez, the Ivalas Quartet has been changing the face of classical music since their inception at the University of Michigan in 2016. By performing works for string quartet written by underrepresented BIPOC composers, the Ivalas Quartet strives to bring all kinds of audience members together in musical celebration. The Ivalas Quartet is currently the Graduate Quartet in residence at the University of Colorado-Boulder where they study under the renowned Takács Quartet."
