Event Description

Bring a camp chair and perhaps a cozy beverage and/or snack to enjoy a bonfire under the Full Harvest Supermoon (aka Corn Moon). While around the fire, enjoy indigenous stories about the sky and learn how cultures use the skies for harvesting and planting. Telescopes will also be set up to view the craters of the moon! Fun for all ages. ✨✨

This is a public, donation-based event (suggested $5-$10/person).

The Colorado Springs Astronomical Society (CSASTRO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of astronomy enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion and advancement of astronomy throughout Southern Colorado. CSASTRO is an established and community-engaged organization with over 230 active members and an active public outreach program providing over 100 hours of astronomy programs each year for the community.

Sustainable Educational Experience (SEE) seeks to empower environmental stewardship and community resilience through hands-on learning experiences related to: regenerative food systems, local ecology, homesteading, artisanship, and wellness. SEE reconnects people with the natural world through ongoing education and events, volunteer stewardship, and donations-based self-harvests in our community garden.
