Jongo is an ancestor of Samba, a Brazilian dance full of joy and celebration. After a week of learning from Jongo masters Alessandra Ribeiro and Bianca Lúcia Lopes, from Brazil, students at UCCS will perform - dance, play, and sing - Jongo, this incredible Afro-Brazilian tradition. Funded by the President's Funds for the Humanities Grant at UCCS.
