Event Description

NOTE: State Park Pass is required or $10 per vehicle entry fee without pass. If you cannot afford the entry fee please contact us.

Join the women of the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society at Cheyenne Mountain State Park for a unique women-focused and women-led event, and enjoy views of our night skies through a telescope!

This special event is open to all women+ and girls who are interested in learning about the night sky in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Father-daughter teams, trans women, non-binary, and mom's with kiddos are all welcome!

Our CSASTRO members will be bringing out our telescopes for free public viewing of planets, stars and nebula. Listen to a laser guided presentation about the night sky above us and hear some of the stories that cultures have told about the stars for thousands of years.

We will be set up at the Limekiln Trailhead parking lot. Restrooms are available.

As views of the stars are dependent upon weather conditions, please watch this post and our Facebook or Instagram postings for updates, changes or cancellations due to weather.

This event is free and open to the public.

NOTE: This event has been cancelled due to weather concerns. The good news is it has been rescheduled for August 26th. Clear skies to you...
