When
Event Description
Join us for a discussion with author Elan Abrell, a cultural anthropologist whose research and writing focuses on human-environment interactions, scientific knowledge production, and technological innovation in the United States. We will be discussing his newly released book "Saving Animals: Practices of Care and Rescue in the US Animal Sanctuary Movement." The book examines how sanctuary caregivers respond to a range of ethical dilemmas and material constraints, while attempting to meet the various and sometimes conflicting needs of rescued animals. We invite participants to ask questions during this special event.
