Moab Music Festival: Grotto Concert II: Sonic Extremes
When
Event Description
"Take a jet boat down the Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons to 'nature’s own concert hall' – an acoustically perfect wilderness Grotto carved from the surrounding red rock walls. The program features percussion duo, Andy Akiho on steel pan and Ian Rosenbaum on marimba, and their extraordinary sound palette heard in the Grotto for the first time. Soprano Corinne Winters brings French impressionism into the red rocks with Debussy and the concert concludes on a transcendent note with a Bach Suite for solo keyboard. A light reception with the artists precedes the glorious boat ride home."
