Moab Music Festival: Grotto Concert III: Mozart and the Classical Style
When
Event Description
"Take a jet boat down the Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons to 'nature’s own concert hall' -an acoustically perfect wilderness Grotto carved from the surrounding red rock walls. The Festival’s world-class artists play repertoire by three of the great composers of Western music’s defining Classical period, Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn. Pianist composer Michael Brown offers a contemporary reflection on Haydn, with his own Etude-Fantasy on the Name of Haydn and Ravel’s tribute Minuet sur le nom de Haydn. A light reception with the artists precedes the glorious boat ride home."
