Moab Music Festival: Music Hike I: Fiddlers Three

"Hikers, don your sunscreen and journey to a majestic spot in a magnificent secluded canyon ideal for acoustic music. Among our most popular events, these scenic hikes offer unparalleled musical intimacy and engagement with the artists. At the trailhead, a Canyonlands Field Institute naturalist familiarizes hikers with the terrain and leads them to the scenic concert location. Three of the MMF’s exceptional violinists bring their unique talent to explore the violin’s limits and wonders. Listeners will be transported from the intimacy of Telemann’s solo Sonata to the vibrancy of Andy Akiho’s stunning work for steel pan and violin. Bartok and Dohnanyi remind us of the tremendous Hungarian contributions to the violin repertoire."
