N Farnum Volunteer Stewardship Day

You can help recover natural conditions in the meadow and forest in the N Farnum Roadless Area southwest of the Tarryall Reservoir in South Park. This now gone illegal camping and dump site is ready for volunteers to seed and rake 2-3 acres of the former camping area and route.

This is the second phase of this project to secure USFS' North Farnum Roadless Area. Last year we helped install the post and cable to keep illegal motorized use off of the closed route. This summer, the USFS has picked up trash and ripped up the road to prep for our volunteer day. Fall rains and winter snows will encourage the seeds to sprout and thrive next spring.
