CPR Classical presents the Kronos Quartet at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts on January 12.
"With over 45 years, 1000 commissions, 60 recordings, and 40 awards, Kronos is the essential string quartet of the modern era. Their time in Denver will be highlighted by a residency with Lamont School students. The program features newly-commissioned works from Kronos’ landmark Fifty for the Future project, in addition to pieces written for or arranged by the group inspired by The Everly Brothers, Mahalia Jackson, and Billie Holiday."
