Event Description

This free outdoor concert includes delightful classics of the orchestral repertoire. Enjoy wonderful music in a beautiful setting with the National Repertory Orchestra. The choice of this program is perfect for a Colorado mid-summer evening. And, of course, it is thrilling to have Midori grace the stage with us. Midori has thrilled audiences with her consummate playing, deep musical insight, and generous spirit for four decades. I count her among my most cherished musical friends, and we have played together many times – it is always a thrill. However, her accomplishments on stage don’t tell the full story, as was acknowledged just this spring when she became a Kennedy Center Honoree. She is an inspiring teacher, a devoted mentor to so many, and a restless musical advocate for social change. It is indeed a privilege to have her with us this summer.

Midori’s recordings are available on Warner Classics, Sony Classical, Sony Japan, Onyx Classics, and Accents Music.
