Parlando Commissioned Composers Project: New Works Concert

"Parlando’s Commissioned Composer Project pairs professional composers with students of all ages and abilities to create brand-new original works. The project connects students to the full artistic process–from the idea for a piece through its composition to its debut performance. Students have the opportunity to be the first person ever to perform their particular work, which is an incredibly empowering experience. Be the first audience to hear these new works, which will include piano, string and vocal chamber works, flute, trumpet, and a choir! The 2023 Project Composers are Solomon J. Chapman, Sr., Kari Clifton, Stephanie Henry, Peter Kennedy, Cherise Leiter, Andy Villemez, Cordelia Zars, & Joel Zigman."
