Picnic and Planes

The Western Museum of Mining and Industry (|WMMI) is the perfect place to watch the amazing aerial acrobatics of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as they fly for the Air Force Academy’s graduation on Thursday, June 1 from 10am to 2pm. Bring a picnic lunch and chairs and blankets as you experience the Thunderbirds as they soar over you! If you forget your lunch, Little Bears Food Truck will be on site selling its delicious treats.
The cost is just $5 per car and benefits the museum. Make a day of it and check out the museum before or after the flyover. The museum and its grounds are open from 9am to 4pm. Tours are at 10am and 1pm and are included in admission. Separate admission applies to the museum.
