Stratton Open Space: Trail Restoration

Join Friends of Stratton Open Space and Pikes Peak Trail Cats to help close and restore nonsystem (social) trails near the Ridgeway trailhead, to reduce erosion and preserve habitat. We plan to install rock check dams to slow water and reduce erosion, decompact soil to help seeds sprout, and cover the trail with organic material to help it recover. We could also address other needs in the area.

Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Bring gloves, water, snacks, lunch, sun protection, and clothing layers for the weather.
