Tesla’s Birthday Party

Pikes Peak Makerspace is pleased to present the inaugural Tesla’s Birthday Party, on July 13th from 11am-3pm.

Yes, we know that Tesla’s actual Birthday is July 10th, but we want to show ol’ Nikola how much he is loved so we are hosting on a Saturday so everyone can attend!

We figured that Nikola wouldn’t mind us fundraising in his honor. After all, Pikes Peak Makerspace is located only a few blocks from where some of his most famous experiments were performed!

Tickets are just $10 per person, so bring your friends and join us for a good time at the premier Makerspace of the Pikes Peak Region.

Here is how we’ll be celebrating:

Live Music All Day
Hear from a variety of talented musicians including: The Church of Tomatillo, Kentucky Colts, and maybe you'll also want to sing or jam along during this open mic format.

Door Prizes
Your entry includes a chance to win prizes donated by our members and local businesses.

Tours of Pikes Peak Makerspace (Available 11-3pm)
Learn all about our Makerspace and the amazing equipment we have on site for members.

1pm Tesla's Birthday Song + Cake
Our favorite Nikola impersonator, Gabriela, will give a short speech highlighting stories of Nikola's life and career. We'll sing "Happy Birthday Tesla" and then cut the cake!

1:30-3pm Tesla Make and Takes ($5 each)

1:30-3pm Tour Pike Ride and optional ride to the Tesla Memorial at

Memorial Park
Take a peek behind the scenes at Pike Ride HQ, Colorado Springs non profit electric bike share provider. Located just next door, you'll be electrified after seeing the heartbeat of the e-bike fleet! Want to go for a spin? Jump on a Pike Ride for a self guided ride over to Memorial Park and take a selfie with the Nikola Tesla memorial plaque, just a few blocks away.

This is a FUNdraiser. We want to have a ton of fun and and raise money to support our mission as a community of cooperative hobbyist and early-stage entrepreneurs that empowers members to turn ideas into reality. Pikes Peak Makerspace strives to provide access to tools and resources to confidently and safely design, develop and make.
