Event Description

Originally founded in 2015, The Co Founder was reborn in January of 2023 when primary songwriter Hayden Eller and guitarist Andrew Graves began working on a new batch of songs. From there, paired with a year of recording in San Deigo with a team of producer Jordan Krimston (Oso Oso) and Engineer Daniel Charlson, the band slowly crafted their new 10-song LP “Never Miss A Good Opportunity To Shut The Fuck Up”. Featuring vocals from Jordan Pundik (New Found Glory) the album draws inspiration from Webbed Wing, Tom Petty, and Militarie Gun. Based out of Oakland (CA), the band has slowly built a loyal following after opening for acts such as Into Over It and Sydney Sprague.

Following a year of studio sessions, the band's new lineup materialized quickly after Eller and Graves began quietly circulating the 10-song LP among a group of close friends. While Krimston played drums on the album, the current lineup features Brayan Tarazona (Drums), Ryan Tuttle (Guitar), and Colin Frost (Bass) alongside Graves (Lead Guitar) and Eller (Vocals). Frost is a well-known member of the East Bay music scene and a member of the artist collective Slang Church, while Tuttle, an accomplished freelance photographer, has contributed a music video for the first single (“Shoe For Runners”) to the album’s release. Tarazona, a student at College of Marin, has quickly earned a reputation for his hard-hitting Jon Theodore-esque drum style. These three create a rock-solid rhythm section to accompany Eller’s classic frontman approach, which aims to pair the leanings of Oasis’ Liam Gallagher with the energy of Spiritual Cramp’s Mike Bingham. Graves’ hook-laden guitar leads wrap the live sound together with earworm-worthy riffs and face-melting solos.
