The Deep Space Exploration Society 9th Annual Open House

The Depp Space Exploration Society Open House event will be taking place this Saturday near Haswell. We will be using our 60 foot radio astronomy dish to send signals to the moon and back so that visitors could hear their voices off the moon and also to talk to other ham radio stations via the moon. Our Amateur Radio Station K0PRT will also be running so visitors can see what ham radio is about. At the same time we will also hold a pork BBQ lunch with all the fixings starting around noon on Saturday October 5th and all donations will be used by the local 4H Shooting club. Lunch $16 for Adults, $8:00 Children 12 and under.

After dark there will also be optical telescopes set up so that visitors can see all the planets and stars in our milky way.
