The Loveland Orchestra: Variations

"The Loveland Orchestra presents the next concert of the 2023-2024 Season, 'Variations'. The season's theme is 'Beg, Borrow, & Steal,' celebrating the way composers use something old to create something new. The concert begins with Symphonic Variations on an African Air by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a magnificent work that has (to our knowledge) never been performed before in Northern Colorado. Next, the orchestra plays Jaws Suite by John Williams, a compilation of music from his well-known film score. After a brief intermission, the night ends with a performance of Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, 'From the New World,' one of the most well-loved symphonies in the classical music repertoire."
