The Playground Ensemble: Shades of Colorado

"Join The Playground Ensemble to celebrate Denver Arts Week! We will begin the evening by premiering 'Shades of Colorado', a new string quartet by Montana-born composer Jessi Harvey. Following that artist talk and performance, The Playground String Quartet will explore and reimagine Harvey’s 'Stages of Water' in an ambient atrium experience as a part of the Denver Arts Week’s city-wide Night at the Museum event. Then, Playground Director Conrad Kehn will lead an interactive, drop-in workshop where participants will place contact mics on everyday objects and objects found in Colorado's beautiful natural environment, finding ways to 'play' them and answer the question - what does it sound like?"
