Thirty-million people count on one river for water... the Colorado. All those people, plus drought and climate change are having a big impact on the river. Writer Jonathan Waterman and photographer Peter McBride wanted to see that impact up close. So, two years ago they set out to travel all 1,450 miles of the river. They document their journey in a new book called “The Colorado River; Flowing Through Conflict.” Waterman tells Sadie Babits that people have changed the river; but there are still places that are more wild than he imagined.
