Colorado’s Mikaela Shiffrin pulled off a remarkable feat this past weekend in Aspen. At the age of 22 she earned the title of youngest skier ever to win the overall title in skiing's World Cup since 2003. She also clinched the slalom title, even though she placed second in the Aspen event. And she joins Phil Mahre, Tamara McKinney, Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn as the only American overall World Cup champions. Now, she has her eyes set on Olympic gold at the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea.
The Denver Post’s John Meyer covered the World Cup in Aspen and spoke with host Ryan Warner about Shiffrin.
