Shakey Graves, the performing moniker of one-man-band Alejandro Rose-Garcia, will headline Day Two of this year’s Colorado Music Party showcase!
Appearing courtesy of the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival, and represented by Colorado’s 7s Management, the Austin-based artist was selected to wrap up the final day of the showcase on Friday, March 14 as a demonstration of the uniquely talented acts the Colorado music industry attracts.
Shakey Graves was recently featured in Paste Magazine as “The Best of What’s Next”, and in 2012, the mayor of Austin proclaimed February 9 to be “Shakey Graves Day” (the third annual celebration takes place this upcoming weekend). According to the The New York Times, Shakey Graves “makes the one-man band approach look effortless.”
Colorado Music Party showcase organizers also announced today that two landmark Colorado outdoor venues will sponsor the stages at this year’s showcase. Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Mishawaka Amphitheatre will support the talent-packed performances alongside presenting sponsors Reverb, SpokesBUZZ and of course, OpenAir, with Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing keeping things fun for festivalgoers.
The Colorado Music Party features back-to-back day parties with 28 bands on two stages on Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14. Lineup, additional headliners and more acts are still being confirmed, but as of February 3 include: a tom collins, Dragondeer, Fierce Bad Rabbit, Ark Life, The Yawpers, The Epilogues, Zach Heckendorf, and many more!
