Strange Americans dropped into the CPR Performance Studio last month to perform three new songs and chat with host Keefer Fulgham.
Selected as "Best Roots Rock" band of 2013 by Westword, Strange Americans talked about the influence of the film "Jeremiah Johnson," sounding like veterans despite being a relatively new band, and moving from Americana into harder rock.
After performing at last weekend's UMS, the band will play an album release party with The Knew and Josh Dillard & The Streaks of Lightning at the Bluebird Theater on Sept. 12 to celebrate "That Kind of Luster," the follow-up to 2012's "A Royal Battle."
